Have you or someone you care for been supported by an advocate in Waltham Forest?
We want to hear from you. Help us shape the service by telling us what you do and don’t like about the support available, and how we can make advocacy better in the future.
What is advocacy?
Some people may have a lot of difficulty deciding and getting involved with how their care and support needs will be met.
In these situations, they’ll need someone appropriate who can support and represent them through health and social care processes.
If you have difficulty in taking part in the process and if you have no one else to help you, you may need the support of an independent advocate.
Advocacy can be for
- people with mental health issues
- learning disabilities
or other issues that mean they need someone to support them if there is nobody else who can support them.
