Be Clear on Cancer is a Department of Health (DH) campaign which aims to improve early diagnosis of certain cancers by raising awareness of symptoms and making it easier for people to discuss them with their GP.
Be Clear on Cancer covers a range of cancers, including lung, breast, bowel, prostate, oesophagogastric, ovarian, and skin cancer as well as bladder and kidney cancers.
Cancer screening aims to identify people who may be at increased risk of developing disease, despite being healthy. The earlier the cancer is detected and treatment started the better.
