There are many opportunities to get out and about in Waltham Forest.

Sport clubs

There are several disability sports activities for young people and adults in the borough that are open to residents.

For details please contact your nearest leisure centre or the Council’s sports development team for details.

Community centres

There are lots of community centres across Waltham Forest run by individuals and community groups.

Each centre has a programme of activities that you can take part in, with some offering volunteering opportunities to help run the centres.

Contact each centre to find out their activity programme and to see if any opportunities are available.

Activities available include:

  • fitness and wellbeing classes
  • dance classes
  • martial arts and self-defence classes
  • weight-loss groups
  • over 60s bingo
  • dog training classes

Community centres can also be hired for events and parties.
