Where are you now?

You should now have your final leaving results after so many years of working hard at school. What the pages below will help you do is plan towards your future as an adult.

Working towards Adulthood

For most people working towards adulthood means further study at your existing school, moving to a sixth form college or going to a general further education college.

At these institutions you can choose to do A Levels, or AS Levels, if you want to go to university.

You may be more practical and want to study Technical Awards or Technical Certificates. This choice of courses will allow you to gain work experience as well as gain a vocational qualification. For example you may want to do be a hairdresser or work in construction.

You may not be ready to study academic courses and may want to learn independence skills such as travelling  or living on your own. In this case you would do this either in your current school or at a general further education college.
