Finding Blanche (a new play by Cloud Downey)

Have you ever wondered what happened to Blanche Dubois after she was incarcerated in a mental hospital at the end of the play 'A Streetcar Named Desire?' A new play, 'Finding Blanche,' written by playreading group member Cloud Downey, explores the question.

The new play has Blanche's close friend, Nesta Wilding, move to New Orleans in search of Blanche. She enlists the help of another  friend, Ralph White, a New Orleans resident.  The pair become 'detectives' and  make some surprising and upsetting discoveries in their search for their lost friend. But do they find her? .

If you want to know the outcome, please come along to the performed reading of 'Finding Blanche' at Leytonstone Library on Monday 8th October, starting at 7.30pm. Entrance is free and all are welcome.
