Belmont Park School

Belmont Park School is a special school for students with challenging behaviour. We have 60 students at Belmont Park. Most students are from Waltham Forest. Three quarters of our students are boys.
We had an excellent Ofsted Inspection in June 2011 in which we were judged to be good with outstanding features.

We run 7 GCSE classes in English, Maths, ICT, RE, Science, Sports, and Art and Design. Students can also gain qualifications in car mechanics and construction.

Students are taught in small classes. Each student belongs to a class which has a maximum of 7 students, a Tutor and a Learning Support Assistant.

We aim to create an environment in which staff and students enjoy teaching and learning and where there are good progression opportunities to College and other work-related learning.

Our school day begins at 8:45 am and ends for students at 3 pm. However, students can come into School for Breakfast Club at 8.15am each day.

Students also have “breakfast” with their Tutor Group from 10.45 to 11am. This is a social activity where we encourage students to develop their social skills.
