Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service

Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service is Waltham Forest Council’s direct provider of adult education and work based training. We provide a range of accredited and non-accredited learning opportunities for adults and young people across the borough.

We is committed to engaging local people in lifelong learning through working in partnership and promoting widening participation and high quality learning and training opportunities. Our Family Learning courses and activities encourages families to learn together to gain new skills.  These are run in adult education centres, community venues and schools throughout Waltham Forest and are delivered at various times. This is a list of some of the courses we currently run:-

  • Family Art - Simple Sculptures for Families, Drawing and Painting, Make a Pencil Case and Simple Bag
  • Family Computers - Creating Greeting Cards.  Safety using the Internet
  • Make and play together

We also run parenting classes that give the opportunity to think about how you communicate with your children, how you set boundaries and how you can support your teenage children into becoming responsible adults.  Here is a short list of our Parenting clases, also run at various sites and different times:-

  • Setting and Keeping Boundaries
  • Anger Management
  • Calm Parents Calm Children
