Digital Parenting Magazine
The first edition of Digital Parenting was launched by Vodafone in 2010. The magazine, now on its fourth edition, gives parents the information they need to deal with technology and the online world.
Digital Parenting is written and edited by Parent Zone, with articles from experts including psychologists, NGOs and researchers; how to guides to help parents set up their family technology appropriately, and real life case studies. The first and only magazine of its kind, Digital Parenting is distributed to parents free of charge via schools, NGOs, government bodies and other youth organisations. More than one million copies of the most recent edition have gone out to families around the country.
The fourth edition covers a range of issues – from bullying to the best apps for kids, selfies to radicalisation, gaming to mental health. You can read helpful guides to setting up parental controls on lots of different devices and platforms, and there’s also special guidance just for grandparents.
Digital Parenting is published annually, at the start of the Autumn term. All the hard copies of Issue 4 have been distributed, but you can read an electronic version of the current issue here http://vodafonedigitalparenting.co.uk/.
All the previous issues are also available to read online here http://www.vodafone.com/content/parents/digital-parenting/magazines.html.
