Receiving care at home is about receiving the help and support you require to be comfortable in your own home. We let you pick and choose the services you really want.

Ashton Care Ltd offers service users a holistic range of care services designed to provide them with care and support as necessary. The care and support offered by Ashton Care is intended to be flexibly used, ensuring that each care package is specifically tailored to reflect and respond to the changing preferences, needs and abilities of our service users. The aim is to encourage the service user to continue to do things that they can do while we help them with the things that they can no longer do and help them stay in their homes for as long as possible.

Some service users may need intensive help with, for example, getting out of bed, getting washed and dressed. Others may need less help. Regardless of what level of assistance is required, Ashton Care provides all clients with the same high quality care and support possible.

Respite Care:
We offer you a break from caring. Through our flexible day and night services, a member of our team will – over a few hours or a few weeks – take over your care duties. We provide reliable carers in a variety of situations where it becomes desirable for service users to have 24 hours support in their own homes. It may be for the purpose of having a long-term housekeeper and carer, when families want to proceed on a holiday but require the peace of mind that their loved elderly relations are in safe hands, or for the reasons of regular respite break from active caring duties by a family carer.

Direct Payment:
Ashton Care is working with clients in receipt of a Direct Payments. Direct Payments offer more flexibility than a standard care package in that clients have more direct control over the support services they buy and how they are delivered. At Ashton Care we work closely with our clients to ensure that services are delivered in a way that clients are happy with. Clients have a choice of carer(s) who are flexible in the time and manner of service delivery.

End of Life Care:
Ashton Care recognizes that End of Life Care can be a difficult and traumatic time for both the Service User and their family/friends. This area of care focuses on relieving pain and preventing suffering towards the end of life. The emphasis is on keeping the sufferer comfortable. Person Centered Care and Support, End of life care is support for people who are approaching death. It helps them to live as well as possible until they die, and to die with dignity. It also includes support for their family or carers.

Other areas of support that we provide include:

Liaising with health and social care professionals in assessing the needs of service users.

Encouraging service users to make decisions about their lives, including their preferred priority of care, finances and provide them with support when they need it.

Supporting and encouraging service users to access the people who are close to them at the end of their life.

Providing personal support to the service user in the way that they want, and ensure that their physical and emotional health needs are met.

Ensuring that service user’s home is clean, comfortable, pleasant and hygienic.

Ensuring those services users who are at the end of their life are supported by carers who are trained and experienced to meet their needs

Person Centered Care and Support:

Ashton Care believes that End of Life Care should be person centered and the needs and wishes of the Individual should be recognized and acted upon. We will initiate discussions as early as possible to establish the needs and wishes of the Individual such as where and how they would like to die and any culturally appropriate methods which may be required.

We ensure the service is delivered to how the individual wants to live the rest of their life and ensure practical issues are adhered to, such as pain management, medication and specific personal care needs.
