We are a local charity delivering a high-quality service to Older Adults, regardless of cultural needs, living in the Borough of Waltham Forest.

Day Care

Luncheon Club

IOC offers

  • daily activities to encourage mental and physical stimulation in our lively Centre in Leyton

  • care for individuals assessed to need basic care to complex care needs. [Re Dementia: Moderate cognitive decline to very severe cognitive decline.]

  • an outlet for social interaction for people who live in isolation.

  • transport, with escort, to and from the Centre.

  • freshly prepared meals – African, Caribbean and English cuisine daily - catering for specific dietary needs, and

  • IOC is unique in catering for African and Caribbean older adults in the Borough

Day Care

We currently provide service within the Borough of Waltham Forest but IOC welcome referrals from surrounding boroughs.  All clients will undergo assessment in order to ascertain if IOC can meet their care needs.

Taster Sessions

Free taster session is available for prospective service users.  Further information can be obtained from our office.

Luncheon Club

Opportunity for independent individuals, not requiring care support from IOC staff, who desire to have social interaction with others whilst having the flexibility of attending the Centre randomly.

The Club offers lunch plus an activity such Armchair Aerobics, Dominoes, Bingo, Gardening, Art & Craft etc.

Activities vary subject to availability. We therefore request that those interested in this Club contact the office to ascertain what the programme is for a particular week.
