St John's RC Special School

School

We aim to offer outstanding  education for young people from 5- 19 with a range of learning difficulties including ASD and speech and language difficulties.

We have a large spacious site with arange of resources including soft play and multi sensory room. Staff to pupil ratios are high typically and class sizes are small. Where pupils' needs warrnat, there is the potential for 1:1 support. We have a large team of experienced and well qualified teachers and therapists, including speech and language therapists.

We are a day school . We are a Roman Catholic non- maintained special school but welcome young people from all faiths and from none. We have a dedicated team of learning mentors who work with young people who may have emotional  and behavioural needs. We have a dedicated family support officer. We work closely with a range of external partners including CAMHS and social care.
