NHS NELFT - Nutrition and Dietetic
The Nutrition and Dietetic Service in Waltham Forest provides education programmes (i.e. XPERT and DAFNE) for patients with Diabetes and 1 to 1 support in clinic settings. Community Clinics for individualised consultations for adults and children for a range of conditions. A proactive programme to manage obesity both in adults and children are offered.
Nutritional advice and support is given to community inpatient unit (Ainslie unit). Dietitians provide education sessions to programmes e.g. cardiac and pulmonary rehab. A domiciliary service is offered to housebound adult patients including those in nursing homes mainly to those requiring enteral feeding and nutritional support.

Clinics are based across the borough and often most sites have a car park or have parking in the nearby roads. Buses and trains are links are available for most health centres.

Referrals are accepted on an open basis, with consent from the person/parent/carer. Referrals should be forwarded to the service at Chingford Health Centre on 020 8430 8091
Adults and Children (including those with disabilities) will be seen by the Nutrition and Dietetic Service who require Dietetic input.
